Second through fifth grade students are participating in a Sumdog math contest from November 9-15th. We will be competing with other schools in Northeast Colorado. During the 7 days of the contest each student can answer up to 1,000 math problems. We are evaluated on which school has the highest percentage of the 1,000 questions per student answered correctly.
The Sumdog program is based on the common core curriculum. The contest is designed to encourage students to improve their math skills.
During the contest the computer lab will be open until 4:10 after school for students who have written permission from parents to stay after school to play Sumdog. If this local contest is a success, we will participate in a national contest later in the school year. Prizes will be awarded to the top winners in our building at the conclusion of the contest.
If you have questions please contact Mrs. Loutensock in the Elementary School Computer Lab.
